This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Grindstone Holdings LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, retains, and protects information when you access or use the Profitility mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
A. Account Information
We collect the following information:
• Email address
• Encrypted password
• Account creation date
• Subscription status
• Records of acceptance of applicable agreements
B. User-Provided Data
Users may provide financial and operational data, including:
• Earnings and tips
• Expenses
• Mileage data
• Order and trip details
• Profit and loss records
This data is used to operate the Service and provide analytics and reporting functionality.
C. OCR Data
The Service may use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract text from user-provided content.
D. Device & Usage Data
We may collect limited technical data, including:
• Device type
• Operating system
• App version
• Session activity
• Error logs
This data is used for system functionality, security, and performance.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
• Provide and operate the Service
• Generate analytics and reporting tools
• Maintain system integrity and security
• Provide customer support
• Communicate account or policy updates
We do not sell user data.
3. Data Storage & Security
User data is stored using secure infrastructure and protected through appropriate technical and administrative safeguards.
No system is completely secure. Users are encouraged to maintain independent records.
4. Data Retention
We retain user data only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and maintain system integrity.
5. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account at any time through the App or by contacting support at support@profitility.app.
If a user requests account deletion:
• The account is immediately deactivated
• Access to the account is suspended
• The account enters a thirty (30) day deactivation period
During this period:
• The user may restore the account by logging in
• No permanent deletion occurs until the thirty (30) day period expires
If the account is not restored within thirty (30) days:
• The account and associated data will be permanently deleted
• Backup data may be retained for a limited period for system integrity purposes
Users may request immediate permanent deletion, in which case:
• The account is permanently deleted without a recovery period
• Data cannot be restored once deletion is completed
6. Data Ownership
Users retain ownership of their data. The Company is granted a limited license to store, process, and analyze data solely to operate the Service.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers for infrastructure, analytics, OCR processing, and payment processing.
We are not responsible for service interruptions, data loss, or performance issues caused by third parties.
8. Payment Information
All payments are processed through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing. The Company does not collect or store payment information.
9. OCR & Data Accuracy
All OCR-extracted data and analytics outputs are informational estimates only and may contain errors.
10. Tax & Financial Disclaimer
The Service provides informational and organizational tools only and does not constitute tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice.
11. Platform Non-Affiliation
Profitility is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party delivery or gig platform.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended only for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
13. International Users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.
14. Enforcement / Termination
The Company may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, including fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
15. Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Hamilton County, Tennessee, except where prohibited by law. You waive the right to participate in class actions or class-wide proceedings.
16. Modifications
The Company may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Material changes may be communicated through:
• In-app notification
• Email (if available)
• Updated Effective Date
17. Severability
If any provision of this Policy is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
This Policy constitutes the entire agreement regarding privacy practices between you and Grindstone Holdings LLC.
19. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, with venue and jurisdiction in Hamilton County, Tennessee.
